She was born Christina Haack in Anaheim, California on July 9 1983. Her first job after school was working as an estate agent. Tarek was to be her husband. They enjoyed great success until the 2008 stock market crash in which real estate investment firms, house flippers, and other property owners also went broke. Tarek El Moussa, and Christina El Moussa lost almost everything as a consequence of the 2008 market collapse. When they moved from their home that cost them $6,000 per year to a house that cost $700 and almost losing everything. Both their business, along with the general economy, grew slow. HGTV: Rise to Fame Tarek asked a close friend to create an audition tape to HGTV in 2011. The tape was a video of him and Christina flipping a whole home. Pie Town Productions executive received this tape. The executives were in love with Tarek and Christina. The couple signed a deal in 2012 together with HGTV. Then, in April of 2013 "Flip of Flop" was a reality TV show that began its debut. Over the course of seven seasons, this show was broadcast between 2013-2017. The show was a story of Christina and Tarek buying properties located in Orange County. They would invest weeks in transforming the homes in order to make the properties for profits.
